The Player with No Trigger

The second work from the“Talent” project, The Player with No Trigger is showing my defense mechanism against this trauma. The object reflects my psychological states and functions as a defense tool to escape and protect from the complex anxiety and surrounding.

The pistol is made up of reused parts of two different musical instruments and other metal scraps, so the trigger may not exist or work. Therefore, pulling a trigger is a reinventing the wheel.

I performed myself as a false appearance when something does not live up to my expectations. This action can be considered as a reaction formation, a psychological term that can be explained the avoidance of pain and true emotion.


The work connotes the Influence of psychological self-control, over-expectation, and satisfaction and psychological maladjustment in goal achievement within individual and social content.

My thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and expectations exist in complete alignment with my desire and it reflects my psychological states. When I pulling a trigger, I encounter the traumatic moment of the intersection of the past, present, and future.
